Traditional counter-clockwise direction
In 2024 we will send everyone counter-clockwise again on our ‘22 & ‘23 course. Our first support station will be in Weston, so make sure to fill-up your bottles and treat pockets so you have enough energy to get to Weston at mile 23. NOTE: WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND only riders who can maintain an18-20 mph average, or who will be working together in a pack ride this course. There usually is a building thermal wind out of the south that makes getting back from Malad tough. Our 75-mile course is a fantastic alternative, plenty of flats and hills, and a beautiful course with a lot of open roads.
We have made the decision to add timing to the 100 mile course this year, AND the National Gran Fondo Series has agreed to accept qualifying times from the 100-mile course AS WELL AS the 75-mile course! The USACycling National Gran Fondo Championships are in Maryland this year on Sept 17th (One week after LOTOJA), and so all you hyper-fit-LOTOJA-RIDING qualifiers have a chance to compete on a national stage after qualifying on July 13th.
Details on how to qualify AND the different age groups are on our website at https://www.cachegranfondo.com/gfnationalseries

Projected Finish Times
11:00AM - 2:30 PM
The Century Fondo course starts and finishes in North Logan. All 100 mile riders turn RIGHT at the Benson Y-intersection and proceed NORTH towards Little Mountain (Newton/Trenton area), before turning RIGHT onto SR 23 towards Weston, (2019 Cyclocross LOTOJA route). Riders continue north to Weston, Idaho where your first support station awaits (YES! YOU WANT TO FILL-UP, your next challenge is a mountain pass and 20+ miles to the next support station). Once in Malad, FILL UP again, its going to get hot and even a bit windy depending on when you leave Malad. Proceed SOUTH on the 1-15 Frontage Road toward Riverside. Your 3rd support station will be in Plymouth and you need to FILL UP again! Turn LEFT at the 4-way stop in Riverside and follow Valley View Highway (SR 30) through the Bear River Bottoms and to the Box Elder/Cache County line. CAUTION NOTE: the next LEFT turn at SR 30/SR23 is DANGEROUS. PLEASE use extreme caution - we recommend turn right on SR 23, making a safe turn-aroundlopp, and crossing SR 30 once clear (Vs a traditional Left-hand turn). Once clearing the SR30/SR23 intersection safely, turn RIGHT at the Benson Marina turnoff and proceed EAST toward Benson and the Logan Area. At the Benson Y-intersection, turn STAY RIGHT, and then LEFT at the Airport Road junction. You will NOT be coming back on Airport Road but rather on a quite road on the north-end of the airport, past our sponsor CampChef, and CAREFULLY cross Main Street (US 89) at the Maverik on Hyde Park lane. Continue past and turn RIGHT on 100 West (Hyde Park), and finish the 5 blocks to the RSL/Green Canyon High School.
